For the remote scan process, you will need a phone and someone to help you capture the video.

To create the best possible result, we require three smooth rotations captured in one continuous video.
The first rotation is filmed from above, gently looking down; the second at mid-level, looking straight on; and the final from below, looking upwards. The completed video should be approximately 1 minute and 30 seconds in total, with each rotation lasting around 30 seconds.

At the end of the third rotation, please slowly move in to focus on key details — particularly the hands — and gently film around them, as demonstrated in the example video. This allows us to capture the finer details that bring the sculpture to life.

For the best results, choose a well-lit space with as much room as possible, allowing the camera to move freely around you. Filming too close can affect the accuracy of the 3D model. It’s important to remain completely still until all three rotations — and the close-up detail capture — are complete. Please tie your hair up so it sits away from your neck, and if wearing underwear, opt for lighter colours, as darker shades do not scan as well.

When it comes to posing, feel free to explore a few options. Subtle variations, such as softly bending one knee, can create a more elegant and dynamic silhouette. If you choose to have your arms up, it is best to rest your hands on your head, keeping your neck clear. If you’d like guidance on poses, We’re very happy to advise.

The ideal time to do your scan is between week 32 and week 36 of your pregnancy.

For remote scans, we first review and process your videos to ensure they have captured correctly before we move forward with any payment. As lighting and movement can affect results, not all scans are successful, and this step ensures quality is never compromised.

Once your scan has been successfully processed, we will send you a short video of the result along with a payment link for an £80 deposit. We then carefully refine and clean the scan before sending you a digital proof, together with a curated selection of finishes to choose from. Should you wish, we can provide an updated proof in your chosen finish before final approval.

Once you’re completely happy, we begin creating your sculpture. At this stage, you’ll be sent a payment link for the remaining balance and we’ll request your delivery address. As your sculpture nears completion — typically within 8 weeks, though occasionally up to 12 weeks after sign-off of your digital proof — we’ll be in touch to personalise your keepsake box and complete your piece.
